1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CSharpExplore platform (csharpexplore.com) (the "Service"). The Service is operated by TECH HAVEN LIMITED, registered in the United Kingdom (Reg. No. 14287322) ("CSharpExplore", "we", "our", "us"). By creating an account, completing tasks, earning XP, or purchasing Trail Tokens, you ("User") agree to these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
2. Key Definitions
Trail Tokens – internal platform currency used to unlock tasks (1 task = 1 Trail Token).
XP – experience points earned for completing tasks.
Ranks – symbolic progression levels:
Trail Walker → Wayfarer → World Explorer → Pilgrim of the Planet.
Tasks / Trails – interactive programming challenges in C# with automatic testing.
3. Eligibility & Account
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts.
Registration requires a valid email and password.
You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials. Only one account per person is permitted.
Deleting your account permanently removes all progress, ranks, and Trail Token balances.
4. Free Introductory Task
Every new user receives a free introductory task after registration.
Completing it grants XP and the first rank: Trail Walker.
Free content is provided without expiration.
5. Trail Tokens & Pricing
Available packages (e.g., Path Snacks, Trail Rations, Pilgrim's Grand Stockpile) are listed on the Pricing page.
Custom top-ups are available starting from €1. All prices are listed in EUR.
Trail Tokens are: non-refundable (except where required by law), non-transferable, and have no real-world monetary value.
Trail Tokens are not cryptocurrency, not tradable, and not redeemable for cash or digital assets.
Trail Tokens can only be used within the CSharpExplore platform.
Trail Tokens cannot be transferred between users or shared with other platforms.
6. Payments
Payments are processed through PCI DSS compliant providers (Visa / Mastercard).
CSharpExplore does not store or process your card data.
Refunds are available only in cases of technical processing errors or as required by law.
7. Intellectual Property & Sources
7.1. Proprietary Rights:
All original educational content, narratives, platform design, and the "Trail" mechanics are owned by CSharpExplore and TECH HAVEN LIMITED.
7.2. Open Source Content:
Certain coding challenges within the Service are derived or adapted from the Exercism open-source repositories (https://github.com/exercism).
7.3. Licensing & Attribution:
These specific materials are distributed under the MIT License. Copyright (c) Exercism. In accordance with the MIT License, the original copyright notice is preserved. These materials have been modified by CSharpExplore for educational purposes and are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.
7.4. Non-Affiliation:
CSharpExplore is an independent platform and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Exercism. The MIT License allows for commercial reuse, and the full text can be found at: https://opensource.org/licenses/MIT.
8. User Code
You retain full ownership of all source code you write.
Your code is processed automatically for testing purposes and is not shared without your consent.
9. Acceptable Use
Users must not:
Misuse or reverse-engineer the platform or sandbox.
Upload malicious code or attempt unauthorized access to data.
Use the Service for illegal or harmful activities. Violations may result in account termination without refund.
10. Availability & Changes
We strive for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
Features, tasks, and game mechanics may be updated or modified at any time.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose or error-free operation.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TECH HAVEN LIMITED shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Privacy & Cookies
Your data is processed according to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
14. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
15. Independent Platforms and Cross-Links
C++ Magus, CSharpExplore, and C-Kata are independent tools operated by TECH HAVEN LIMITED. Each platform provides its own services and processes payments separately under its own merchant account.
User balances and credits are not shared between platforms. Mana, Trail Tokens, and CKC can only be used on the platform where they were purchased or issued.
Links to other platforms in the ecosystem are provided for navigation purposes only. Purchases, credits, balances, progress, and user accounts are managed separately on each platform.
