1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CSharpExplore platform (csharpexplore.com) (the "Service").
The Service is operated by TECH HAVEN LIMITED, registered in the United Kingdom, reg. no. 14287322 ("CSharpExplore", "we", "our", "us").
By creating an account, completing tasks, earning XP, or purchasing Trail Tokens, you ("User") agree to these Terms.
By using the Service, you also agree to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
2. Key Definitions
Trail Tokens - internal platform currency used to unlock tasks (1 task = 1 Trail Token).
XP - experience points earned for completing tasks (1 task = +10 XP).
Ranks - symbolic progression levels unlocked by XP:
Trail Walker → Wayfarer → World Explorer → Pilgrim of the Planet.
Order - your purchase or acquisition of Trail Tokens.
Tasks / Trails - interactive programming challenges in C# with automatic testing and feedback.
3. Eligibility & Account
You must be 18+ and legally capable of entering into contracts.
Registration requires a valid email and password (≥8 characters).
You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and account access.
Only one account per person is permitted.
Deleting your account permanently removes your XP, ranks, tasks, Trail Tokens, and history.
4. Free Introductory Task
Every new user receives a free introductory task immediately after registration.
Completing it grants XP and your first rank: Trail Walker.
Free content is provided without expiration.
5. Trail Tokens & Pricing
Available packages and discounts are listed on the Pricing page.
Custom top-ups are available starting from €1, with discounts applied automatically based on applicable pricing tiers.
All prices are listed in EUR.
Trail Tokens are:
non-refundable (except where required by law or due to technical error),
non-transferable,
not redeemable for real-world currency,
usable only within CSharpExplore.
Current packages (as shown on the Pricing page):
Path Snacks, Trail Rations, Traveler's Food Chest,
Wayfarer's Supply Vault, Frontier Provisions Barrel, Pilgrim's Grand Stockpile.
6. Payments
Payments are processed through PCI DSS compliant providers (e.g., Visa / Mastercard).
CSharpExplore does not store or process your card data.
If a payment fails, no Trail Tokens are added to your account.
Refunds are available only in case of technical processing errors or as required by law.
All transactions are processed in EUR.
Your full payment history is available in your Account.
7. Training Content & Sources
The Service provides interactive learning tasks, tests, and narratives for C#.
Most educational content is original and owned by CSharpExplore.
Some coding challenges are adapted from open-source materials published on Exercism, licensed under the MIT License.
The MIT License allows free reuse, modification, and redistribution, provided that the original copyright and license notice are preserved.
CSharpExplore does not claim exclusivity or ownership over Exercism-origin materials.
They remain open-source, provided "as is," without warranties as stated in the MIT License.
All required attribution and license references are preserved within adapted tasks.
8. User Code
You retain full ownership of all source code you write.
You confirm that your code does not violate any laws or intellectual property rights.
CSharpExplore automatically compiles, runs, and tests your code strictly for educational purposes.
We do not publish or share your solutions without your explicit consent.
9. Acceptable Use
Users must not:
misuse, distort, or reverse-engineer the platform or its sandbox;
upload malicious, harmful, or automated code intended to damage systems;
attempt unauthorized access to other accounts, data, or restricted areas;
use the Service for illegal, abusive, or harmful activities.
Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund.
10. Availability & Changes
We strive for continuous availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.
Features, tasks, game mechanics (XP, ranks), and training content may be updated or modified at any time.
We may pause or discontinue parts of the Service without prior notice.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, explicit or implied, including:
merchantability,
fitness for a particular purpose,
uninterrupted or error-free operation,
accuracy or completeness of content or diagnostics.
12. Limitation of Liability
CSharpExplore shall not be liable for any:
indirect, incidental, or consequential damages;
loss of profits, revenue, opportunity, or data;
damages resulting from downtime or platform changes.
Liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
13. Privacy & Cookies
Your data is processed according to our Privacy Policy.
Cookie usage is described in our Cookie Policy.
14. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom.
All disputes shall be resolved in the courts of London, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection laws.
